Below is a list of commonly asked questions. We hope that the answers provided below will help to provide you with information on some of the key areas of the methods and processes we follow. - Are your vehicles sign written?
Absolutely not. Most domestic neighbour noise problems are at a stage where normal relations have broken down. If our vehicles were sign written your neighbour would know what you are having done. As a result they may become even less careful and thus even noisier putting everything back to where it was prior to installation. All of our teams are trained in discretion and should they be faced with questions about the type of work they are doing they will reply with a suitable answer, such as building maintenance or insulation work.
- Will it add value to my property?
That is up to you. You could certainly add a premium for having your property soundproofed and some of our customers have successfully done this. What does appear to happen is that properties which have been installed sell very quickly in comparison with cheaper identical properties in the same area.
- Do you charge for a survey?
Yes and the amount charged depends on where you live. In most cases, before we carry out a survey you will be given a price which is accurate to the plus or minus of 5%. Should you then proceed with the work the cost of the survey will be refunded from the final cost.
- Do you guarantee the work?
The actual physical installation is guaranteed for 12 months. The actual level of noise reduction is not. This is because even identical houses in the same street can have the same noise suppression system fitted and they will perform differently. The level and intensity of noise can be different, the structures can vary and your perception of the level of noise will differ from someone else. Depending upon the duration of the noise it is also possible that you may have become noise sensitized which can take time to stabilize. Given that we cannot offer guaranteed results, we provide you with the contact details of some of our previous customers. These are customers who have offered to act as referees on our behalf. These customers will be able to describe to you the noise problems they experienced, the effectiveness of our solutions and the levels of professionalism that they experienced.
